Omar khayam, Ferdowsi, Kourosh e Kabir. Actually there are quite a few legends whom I have utmost respect.

But the hero in the Shahnameh, was he real?
If he was then I want to update my list! :p
Actually in that case, how much of the Shahnameh is real and how much is fiction?

I am not a fan of the Shah or the Ayatollah, but they are both better than the monsters saddam, alqaeda and taliban. It's sad Iran is neighboured by fanatics like them.
